Cael Aldridge is seen running through traffic.  He’s chasing a man named Roy Marlow.  Roy is a man that has a connection to Lily.  And Cael has loved Lily for a very long time.  But why is he chasing Roy in the first place?

Lily Crane is a shapeshifter – a mimic.  As you read this story, Aimee will let you know what a mimic can do.  There’s also someone who wants Lily, but for what purpose.  Why her of all people?    Her life has changed and she’s learning things she never knew.

Tony is the husband of Angela and they have both a daughter, Leigh, and a son named Max.  They have been added to Lily’s mystery.  I love how Aimee makes this story about family.  There is the love story of Lily and Cael but there’s also the love of a family.  There are many types of families.  There is our genetic family, your work family, and the family you create when you take a partner.

I love that Aimee doesn’t put in a lot of sex in this story.  The story revolves around the mystery of Lily and her being a mimic.  Aimee gives us some sex when it comes to the love between Cael and Lily but otherwise she keeps our attention in trying to solve the mystery.  We have to turn the page because we want answers to our “why’s”.

If you have followed Aimee’s work you will know that there is another book related to the mimics.  At the end of the book, we get a teaser to Little White Lies (published July 01, 2011).  If you have not read this book, I would recommend that you read it.  I look forward to see what Aimee has in store for her readers next.
